SusHouse
Terms of Use
Last updated 9 August 2026
The short version
- Buy a pack once and it's yours forever. There is no subscription.
- Refunds are handled by Apple, not by us.
- Anything you make in the app — names, photos, drawings — stays yours, and stays on your phone.
- Don't try to break, copy or resell the app.
- It's a party game. We can't promise it will never have a bug.
By downloading or using SusHouse, you agree to what follows. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
The basics
Who these terms are with
These terms are an agreement between you and us.
SusHouse is made and published by Med Kalech, an independent solo developer based in Düsseldorf, Germany ("we", "us"). There is no company behind it. These terms apply to the SusHouse iOS app and this website. Full contact details are in the Impressum.
You must be at least 13 years old to use SusHouse. If you're under 18, you should have a parent or guardian's permission. The App Store listing shows the age rating Apple has assigned to the app.
Your rights
What you may do with the app
Play it with your friends, as much as you like.
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use SusHouse on devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial entertainment. This licence lasts as long as you comply with these terms.
You may not:
- Copy, sell, rent, sub-licence or redistribute the app or its word packs.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile or attempt to extract the source code, except where law expressly permits it.
- Modify the app or work around purchase checks, free-round limits, or any other restriction.
- Use the app for a commercial event, broadcast or paid service without our written permission.
- Use it in any way that breaks the law where you are.
Money
Purchases
One payment, no subscription, yours forever.
SusHouse includes optional in-app purchases: individual word packs, and a bundle unlocking every pack. All are one-time purchases. We do not run subscriptions and will not charge you again for something you have already bought.
Payment is taken by Apple through the App Store under your Apple ID, subject to Apple's own terms. Prices are shown in the app before you buy and may vary by country. We may change prices for future purchases, but never retroactively for something you already own.
Purchases are tied to your Apple ID, not to an account with us. They restore automatically when you reinstall the app or install it on another device signed in to the same Apple ID, and there is a Restore Purchases option in Settings.
Money
Refunds
We can't issue refunds — only Apple can.
Because Apple processes every payment, all refunds are handled by Apple under their policies. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. Nothing here limits any statutory refund right you have under your local consumer law.
Free rounds
Trying a pack for free
Every locked pack gives you one free round, once.
Locked packs can be played once without buying them, so you can see what's inside before deciding. That allowance is per pack and is used up when the game starts. It is a courtesy rather than an entitlement — we may change or withdraw it in future versions, though doing so never affects packs you have already bought.
Your content
Names, photos and drawings
What you create is yours, and it never leaves your phone.
Player names, photos and drawings you make in the app stay on your device. We do not collect, upload, store or claim any rights over them. See the Privacy Policy for detail.
You are responsible for what you put into the app. Only add someone's photo with their agreement, and remember the phone gets passed around the room.
Our content
Everything else belongs to us
The app, its artwork, its name and its word packs are ours.
SusHouse, its name and logo, its artwork, characters, interface, and all word packs are owned by us or our licensors and protected by copyright and trade mark law. Buying a pack buys you the right to play it, not ownership of its contents.
Reality check
Availability and changes
We'll keep it running, but we can't promise perfection.
Word packs are downloaded from our servers, so parts of the app need an internet connection the first time. Once loaded, games can be played offline. We may add, change or retire features, and we may stop distributing the app entirely — if we do, packs already downloaded to your device will keep working for as long as your device supports the app.
The legal part
Disclaimer and liability
It's a game. Play at your own risk, and don't argue too hard.
SusHouse is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and uninterrupted or error-free operation.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from your use of the app. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us for the app in the twelve months before the claim.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded. If you are a consumer, you keep all rights your local law gives you.
Housekeeping
Ending and updating
Delete the app to end this. We'll flag any meaningful change.
You may end this agreement at any time by deleting the app. We may end it if you materially breach these terms. Purchases already made are not refunded on termination except as required by law.
We may update these terms as the app develops. The date at the top reflects the current version, and we will surface a notice in the app for any change that materially affects your rights. Continuing to use SusHouse after a change means you accept it.
If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest continues to apply.
The legal part
Governing law
Disputes are settled under the law where we're based.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer, this choice of law does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of the country you live in, and you may bring proceedings in the courts of your own country.
We are neither obliged nor willing to take part in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board (Verbraucherschlichtungsstelle).
Apple is not a party to these terms and has no responsibility for the app. Apple is, however, a third-party beneficiary of them and may enforce them against you.
